The Rams scored on their first three possessions for the first time in five years and led 21-0 before the 49ers got on the board. A Jauan Jennings fumble in Rams territory and a failed fourth-and-goal stop by Byron Young on Christian McCaffrey both came while San Francisco had a chance to cut into the lead in the second quarter. The two-point attempt on Kittle’s late fourth-quarter touchdown failed when Mac Jones’ pass to Jennings was picked off by Emmanuel Forbes Jr.
